Ever since he burst into the limelight, gospel singer Willy Paul has been courting controversies at every turn. From allegations that he had neglected and abandoned his biological mother to rumours that he mercilessly beat his girlfriend, the singer has always been on the headlines for all the wrong reasons.
However, it seems like that the Mathare-born singer has decided to change from his old ways. Just a few days after he surprised his fans by claiming that he will now be composing songs that touch souls and not for the sake of winning awards, the scandalous singer was invited to lead the praise and worship team at the popular JCC Church.
Willy proved to be a crowd pleaser as barely minutes after he took the microphone everyone was on their feet dancing and praising.
Through social media, Willy expressed his delight in being given the chance to lead the praise and worship team adding that he was surprised by his own courage.
"Yesterdays service was a blessing to me... And leading a praise song at JCC was also a super miracle.... Our God is full of surprises and he just surprised me by giving me the courage to worship him in a different way... What would I have done without God? Where would I be without God? I have a lot to thank God for.. guys, if you haven't given God your life then just know that you're missing alot"
